I am proud to introduce our new publication ‘You are the hero’.
This may be the first book published that is designed to be read in front of a mirror to gain the full experience. An eye hole runs through the entire book so when opened and looked through the reader can see themselves as a ‘masked superhero’. There are 15 different elements to learn about placed in order of abundance in the body. They are;
OXYGEN: CARBON: HYDROGEN: NITROGEN: CALCIUM: PHOSPHORUS: POTASSIUM: SULPHUR: SODIUM: CHLORINE: MAGNESIUM: SILICON: IRON: FLUORINE: ZINC
The last ‘mask’ states that you are a combination of these incredible elements.
The first page (written in mirror) gives 31 fantastic facts about your biology.
There is a page called ‘For your eyes only’ giving further explanations of the images.
And lastly there is page that shows the ‘Elements Kapa’ card game of the periodic table with the elements in the mask book highlighted in red.
One of the aims of the book is to introduce a child to some of the fascinating chemistry of the human body, but the main aim is to show then just how amazing they are. There is a danger that seeing so many ‘incredible-fantastic-super heroes’ that a young mind may perceive that they are ordinary and mundane…but nothing could be further from the truth, not only are you awesome but you have one big advantage over superheroes…they are fictional whereas you are fact! And this book will help demonstrate that.
